Outdoor Research Wintertrek Hat - Warm Fleece Lined Beanie for Men & Women - Cold Weather Skiing, Snowboarding & Outdoor Activities

i bought this to replace a mountain hardware dome perignon. the dome covered my ears all the way which was good , sometimes. the problem was that the windstopper fleece is apparently also partially soundproof. The outdoor research hat covers about 80% of of my ears, which lets me hear at least twice as good as the dome. All in all I like the hat, the zipper on the back seems unnecessary but my ears haven't gotten cold with this hat on yet and its been fairly cold in Ohio this December. The dome would still be better for riding my bike though.
