I built an outhouse off of my hot tub deck because running inside at -30, through the snow, to use the loo got old after a one winter.I made the door out of 3/4 plywood and 1x scraps so it’s got some weight to it. I didn’t want to use the lightweight hinges that they had at the local hardware store, and the heavier duty ones that they had were HUGE! So, I came on here to look for something a more robust, but of reasonable size, and I didn’t want to break the bank.I came across these and thought I’d give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived in the mail. They are made of thick metal and are pretty heavy duty. They are not overly large. They have a very nice finish to them so not only do they look good, but it appears that they will hold up well over time. They provide a smooth open and close to my outhouse door. I think they are a great product for the price I paid. I would definitely buy again if the need arose.If my door looks a little wonky, it’s not because of the hinges. It’s because I’m a tiny 5’2 girl who built an outhouse and hung the door alone (with the help of her trusty side kick cat) Don’t blame the hinges, blame the builder. ?
