My hand size is a women's 7 - 7 1/2. I purchased a medium in this glove and they fit fine. I wore them today in minus 1 degree wind chill for about 1/2 hour and my hands/fingers were warm. Be aware that they are bulky and do look like an oven mitt.I bought these to stand at the bus stop with my kids and for cleaning the car off and for that they work perfectly. I bought big because I was afraid they'd be too small for me like almost all other gloves are (and I had a bit of a panic with their size chart) but I think I could have ordered the next size down and still been ok. That said they are not too big since I'm not really doing anything with them, and I can drive just fine while wearing them. They are warm and light and so soft inside. I like the big pull tabs, but I feel like the connection clip could be beefier. The color is perfect.. more blue than it looks on my screen here. They are nice, well-made gloves and I haven't had any problems with them.Very very warm. I like the pull on strap which helps get them on even with bulky ski gearThese gloves are well made and seem warm, but nothing stellar to justify the high price. I have tried other down mittins by Spyder and seem just as good without the high price tag. I will be returning these! I will go with the spyder down mittens instead.Overall great mittens. They can get wet easily in snow, but they're excellent for walking, hiking, and even riding the bike. I use them around 20 degrees and lower and they are very warm. I love how soft they are too. The windstopper is great. Once the temp drops to -5 or below, my hands will start getting cold after about 35 minutes during a brisk walk. I like them so much though, that I bought a pair for my wife and she's thrilled. I would recommend.I LOVE THESE GLOVES! I am new to running outside in winter and had been looking for a pair of warm gloves that arent too heavy or bulky,.. These i wore with mizuno thermal running gloves and they were perfect in chicago at 15 degrees with 15 mph winds. When my hands got too warm, i slipped off mizuno gloves and just wore the OR mitts. The suede hand part is perfect as a nose wipe and they wash nicely in the washing machine. Worth every penny, cant wait to wear for my half marathon in IL in March.Tried in 27F, for cycling, for 30 minutes. Fingers were toasty. Tip of thumb was noticeably cold, mildly numb. I guess they will work down to 15F or so, but havent tried that yet.I was hoping that they would be warmer and given the down filling have greater flexibility. Neither are true. They are fine and will use, but just not as great as I was hoping, particularly for the $$$$Did a lot of research for down filled mitts for a trip to the Yukon. I think these are great value and surpassed my expectation. They fit and fold nicely when bending your fingers. Really like the material on the outside for the palms and fingers. Looking forward to purchasing more quality products from Outdoor Research!Like: very warm, not heavy. And the pull tabs on the upper inside are easy to use.Dislike: long so extend quite a way up arm which creates a lot of bulk to try to put inside jacket sleeve; but mitt “cuff” area is not loose enough to put over a jacket sleeve. These gloves are amazing my hands aren’t the greatest in winter, I use these for snowshoeing or standing around. I wouldn’t recommend using as a work gloveThe mitts are great. Super fluffy and warm for Winnipeg winters! Dont wash them—after washing my first pair (after a couple years of use cross country skiing in super cold conditions) i couldnever get the loft back. So never warm againComfortable and warm for skiing at -10C. I used a liner glove at the same time. At -5C I didn't need the liner gloves, just the mittens.
