I use a series of these duffels to store my camping gear. They do a great job of protecting my gear from the dust and the dirt. The zipper seems nice and strong with good seems to keep out the elements and protect my gear. Very happy so far! This replaced a similar bag purchased years ago and we were concerned we’d never find one to last that long again, we were pleasantly surprised to see this unit is twice as nice as the old one. Looks good, easy to zip and definitely durable, good stuff! Before I get into my review of this duffel, know these two things:1. Keep expectations low, as this duffel costs as much as a burrito with guacamole.2. This bag comes with a toiletry bag that it can pack into. The fact this duffel is packable (at least in the XS size I have) is not widely published.I have to say that this duffel feels on the flimsy side, but I'll update my review as time progresses and the duffel wears. I think this duffel is ideal mainly for one use case: to put into another bag as a backup for souvenirs or dirty clothes. The XS size is cheap, it's small enough when packed to fit easily in even a carry on size bag, and when it's unpacked it's still within the personal item size of all US airlines. These three factors make it a good value if you find yourself needing more room on your way home from your vacation destination, and using it is certainly less painful than carrying those extra items in a plastic or reusable shopping bag that doesn't zip close. If you are on a really tight budget, I think this could also be a good option as a personal item size bag for Spirit, Frontier, and United Basic Economy. It's cheap enough that you could get a few of these bags with the included toiletry bag for less than one bag from another brand, and the XS size would mean you/your family wouldn't have to pay bag fees. Note that if you travel frequently, I recommend buying a better brand and/or model that will hold up to frequent abuse, but this is a good option for infrequent budget travelers. This duffel lives inside my Eddie Bauer Maximus backpack duffel or LL Bean suitcase as a spare bag, so it lives a pretty easy life. However, it serves its purpose and I can't complain for the low price. Keep expectations in line with the price and I think you'll find a valuable use case for this duffel too. This bag is excellent value. Used it for a trip to Alaska. Key thing is fill it up as it is much easier to carry/handle when fully packedThis is actually a little bigger that I thought it might be. I plan to use it to store my rolled up Jeep TJ Wrangler’s soft top windows when not in use. It looks like it will work just fine. It came in a small, zippered pouch that can be used on its own. It may come in handy.I bought this duffel for a specific purpose -- to protect my precious 35L hiking backpack during air travel (I went with a size Large and had some room to spare). I went on a backpack trip that had a few flights where I'd need to check my backpack as baggage. Backpacks often get mangled on airplanes, in particular on the baggage carousel which snag on and rip up your pack's straps. Many people cover their backpack with a simple rain cover, but a rain cover only covers the rear of the pack, leaving the straps exposed. And rain covers can fall off.So, I wanted something a little more protective, but I didn't want it to be heavy (since I was backpacking and wanted to travel as lightly as possible) and I didn't want to pay $70 for some of the fancier backpack duffels.Enter the Outdoor Products Deluxe Duffle. This duffle is no-frills, extremely light, and cheaper than some of the heavy duty bags. True, this bag is probably not ideal for your round-the-world trek; it probably will get torn up eventually if you haul it through tough conditions. But for my specialized purpose, it's a good compromise between lightness, durability and cost.Yes, the material is thin, like a lightweight golf windbreaker. And the straps could probably tear off if you try to lug around serious weight. Another complaint is that the zippers are rather cheap and I can imagine the zipper lining tearing. So if you want something tougher, pay a little more and upgrade to their better model, the Utility model which is twice as expensive, twice as heavy, but will surely last longer. Again, I wanted to save a pound of weight so I got this cheaper Deluxe model. So, I just treat it gingerly and don't manhandle it.I don't expect this bag to last forever, and I use it just for its specialized purpose, and for me that makes it a good buy.I bought these to store and move my Teton XXL camp pads. For this purpose, they're great. But the material is thin and the stitching and zipper do feel flimsy. Since I'm not carrying anything heavy but rather using it as a dust cover, it's great for me. I don't think I'd ever try to stuff it full and travel with it.Jumbo is a great size for packing snow skiing clothes. Very well made.Replacing same bag bought in the USA and gifted to a traveler. These are really good as "souvenier" bags stuffed into main luggage or for casual carry about. The handy little pack bag with it's own little interior pockets is a nice extra. Very pleased to find it in Canada, the nylon is a bit lighter than the old one but should be as durable. Only star off is my old one has a shoulder strap, cadged from an old laptop bag, but that's gone now. My current typical "collection" of unused straps are heavier than I'd like - they really should include an appropriate strap with those D rings.Like: Nice colour.Dislikes: THE ZIPPER GOT CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE, SO IT'S NOT POSSIBLE TO CLOSE THE BAG. I moved the zipper very gently, so it should not have gotten caught. I suppose an open bag is ok for those who don't need to close it for some reason.Result: A BAD BUY, wasted my money. It turned out that it was a perfect fit for my large canvas coleman sleeping bag.
