Couple of tips: I own a few of these among other pocket stoves but these have to be my favorite for the size.1. After it's initial use, always use the side pieces in the bend the heat will temper them to. Causes less stress on the steel and they will last much longer.2. Either bust up a lot of smaller pieces of wood to fit the stove before using it and have it at the ready, or you can find a rock or small branch level with the opening on the front and just slowly feed longer pieces into the fire inside. Saves with headaches keeping it going while using it for any length of time and fighting with longer pieces burning up and then falling out of the stove.3. Be easy with the little tabs that hold the top trivet in place, especially while they are hot. This is a well thought out and super lightweight design. Works great for both alcohol stoves and biofuels. The only down side to this I've noticed is the three points on top to hold a pot. The spacing makes it so that medium size pots (say 900ml) have to sit at an angle on top. Other than that, no complaints. Liked this one so much I ordered a second.Follow up - I use the Snow Peak Trek Combo along with the 700 ml cooker and 450 cups, and have divided them into two separate kits. In the one with the 1400ml pot I am able to put the 700 cooker, and 450ml cup along with a titanium Bushbox pocket stove and one of these Ultralight pocket stoves, and titanium utensils. Barely can tell you are holding something in your hands with all that. The 700ml and 450ml fit inside the three posts and on top of the trivet on the Ultralight perfectly. In the 900ml pot/pan, I keep a 450ml cup utensils and one of these Ultralights that I have modified so that the 900ml pot doesn't wobble on two of the three posts. (Added a pic - I used tin snips to cut the three top posts off and used a Dremel to grind four evenly spaced small half rounds along the top edge of each , as I figured anything other than a rounded shape would be more prone to stress cracking). This obviously will void any warranty from Bushcraft Essentials as this was not their intended design and function, so if you do this know you would be voiding it as well. However - it is holding up fine to spirit burner use. I will be buying some more of these for my wife and girls that are scouts. When you consider the weight, design, and choice of material I don't think anything else out there comes close to this one.
