Light, breathable, soft, comfy. The foldable bill, allows you to fold it up and stuff it in your pocket!!!!Durable too!Won’t wear any of my other of my multitudinous caps any more.Size up - if you have a big head get a bigger size - or try to squeeze your bid head into this hat and see if it stretches like the other things you stuff that big thing into. This was exactly what my husband wanted, and he is very picky. Great hat.I picked up the black version of this hat 9 years ago in a random mountain sporting goods store and have enjoyed how light weight it is so I bought the tan one on Amazon. My only negative is I wish they had an option with some ventilation for hot days. It folds up easily in a backpack and you don't have to worry about it losing its shape.ReturnedThis is the perfect hat for backpacking and other outdoor activities. It's lightweight, washable, and the brim folds up for easy stowage when not on your head. I bought the XL for a recent backpacking trip in southern Utah and it performed wonderfully. I'm bald, so sun protection is a must, but I've also got a giant, hard-to-fit head (24" circumference, and significantly longer than wide), so hat-shopping is always a bit stressful. My only criticism of the cap is that I wish it was offered with a stretchy/elastic headband for an easier fit right out of the box. The XL is actually a little bit TOO big (which is something I don't get to say very often about hats), but the Lg is a little bit too small, so I had to stitch a couple of strips of poly material from an old ripped hiking T-shirt into the inside of the band so that it fit snugly enough not to fall down over my eyes/ears. This actually worked pretty well to soak up sweat as well, so win/win I guess, but a headband with some stretch would have been much easier. Now that I've got it fitting well though, it's my go-to lid most any time I'm walking out the door, whether it's for outdoor sports, yardwork, or just errands around town. Good work, OR.Great hat, but make sure you buy the right size! The material has no elasticity, and theres no adjustment, so buying exactly the right size is important. I measured my head and was at edge between a medium and a large for this particular hat. When I got it, I could barely get it on my head. I thought I'd have to return it, but I was able to stretch it out enough and it fits ok now (still a bit snug, and shrinks back to near original size in the wash). I think I'd get the large if I were getting another one (which I might do).The hat itself is great though, very convenient to throw in a bag or a large pocket without worrying about crushing it or taking up too much space. Material and construction is top notch. Brim is a bit shorter than most, but still keeps the sun or rain out of my eyes. The material is thin and breathable, with a sweat absorbing internal band of fabric. If I had one request for the company, make this band slightly elastic to give some tolerance to the sizing. Overall, a great product.I now have owned four of these hats. The only gripe is the fit: I have a big head and the large fits snuggly, but there is just a bit too much play in the XL. Despite that, these hats are great! They are lightweight, dry fast, have a minimal brim to grant as much field of vision as possible while keeping the sun out of your eyes, fold down the middle of the brim, and can be stuffed into a pocket if you need it out of the way.Took a bit of time to be delivered but worth the wait. Quality product . There is no adjustment to the cap which would be a nice feature to add for windy days to have an option of a tighter fit when needed.High quality at a competing price!2nd radar hat, both for work and play. Could not find enough stars so settled with 5Suchte lange nach so einer Mütze. Die Mütze bekommt aus all diesen positiven Gründen fünf ?????.The Outdoor Research Radar Pocket Cap is an amazing hat. I bought this for travel to Spain. Wanted something, lightweight and easy to stow when walking and entering museums and churches where I needed to remove it quickly and have a place to put it when not carrying a backpack. Excellent quality, fit, and comfort. So easy to fold and put in one's pocket. Don't think I'll ever use a different cap now. I'm using it at home now instead of my other caps. Well designed item that is just right for all occasions.
